HELP for the Federal Register Database 

The Source for the records in the federal register database is the  US on line web site publishing the Federal Register.  GTW Associates  evaluates the notices at this site using  proprietary search methods and filters and excerpts records related  to Standards and Conformity Assessment; Regulatory; Technology and Trade Policy & Practice.  Key information from the record is  excerpted and loaded to the on line database.  

Access for GTW Guests and Clients is provided to a to a search by  Topics function. The default dates are set to within 14 days of the current date.  This is the most convenient site for quickly checking for Titles of recent postings to determine any of further interest. The date of the most recent record added to the database is indicated here.   "Start Search Date" and "End Search Date" may be adjusted according to interest. GTW Guests and GTW Clients will be presented with the Topic of the notice, reference to any standards, Source Agency, Nature of the notice, and whether the notice is policy or practice related.  GTW Clients may follow an embedded link in the "topic" description to further information. 

Access for GTW Guests and Clients is also provided to a search of all databases by key word.  For any key word entered,  GTW Guests and GTW Clients will be presented with the title; date and agency of any database record containing that key word.  GTW clients may follow an embedded link in the topic  to further information

Several Search engine functions are provided for the use of GTW Clients.  Browse summaries  returns data on indexed federal register notices between the "Start Search Date" and "End Search Date." The default is set to 14 days before the current date. This category is useful for those interested  in browsing the text of recent additions to the database .  Search by Key word  returns  the records containing the entered text.  "Search by Category"  returns records falling in to one or more of the categories "Technology; Trade; Commerce; Standards & Regulation; Legal/IPR/Antitrust" Search by Agency returns records  issued  by  the Agency named in the search form;   Search by Policy returns  records of a policy nature.
